Source(google.com.pk)I emailed Fun City Tattoo after I saw their sign that said walk-ins welcome. A day later I was contacted by Pete Chile from Dare Devil Tattoo about setting up an appointment with him. (The two shops are sister shops.) He had the pic of the tattoo I wanted from my email.
I showed up a half hour early. Pete had a draft ready, I made some minor changes, and he went back and redrew it. After one redraw it was exactly what I wanted. We sat down and he got to work. Everyone there is a true professional. From the girl answering the phone to the apprentice to the artists. I was done in two hours. I've had work done by less expensive artists but Dare Devil is worth it.
The worst part of my experience was the two female customers in the shop when I was there. It was a girl getting her first tattoo and her overbearing best friend grilling the artist about the entire process. It was really annoying but the tattoo artist was very accommodating and patient. I wanted to strangle them, though. But for me, it was a great experience. I'll be going back.

On a recent trip to NY, I had the opportunity to receive my first tattoo from Michelle Myles, co-owner of Daredevil and Fun City Tattoo in New York. She was recommended to me by two people whose tattoo's I had admired. I checked out the Daredevil website and Michelle's bio before making an appointment prior to my visit; which I would highly advise if you want to ensure Michelle will be available for you too.
Upon my arrival, I had a vague design idea in mind. Unfazed by this, Michelle patiently listened and then worked with me to sketch the design, size, and placement of a tattoo that was perfectly proportioned for my body . I brought an experienced tattooed friend along for moral support since I was a bit nervous about getting my first tattoo and many friends warned me the location of it along my spine may be a bit uncomfortable...need I say painful. But I was truly amazed and delighted that I felt she had a gentle but efficient touch with minimal discomfort during the entire tattoo session.
The environment at Daredevil is very relaxed, welcoming, and professional. All work areas, equipment, and Michelle's "pink gloved" hands were kept very sterile during the entire process. I felt taken care of from the moment I walked through the door and after I left with a copy of the complete after-care instructions for my tattoo. I am happy to write & share that my tattoo is beautiful and healed without any difficulties. (Thankfully these instructions are available on the website, since I seemed to have misplaced the instruction sheet during my return travels to Santa Cruz.)
I would most definitely encourage anyone wanting a tattoo to make Daredevil and Michelle your place to add art to your body. And if you need an excuse.....it's a good reason to visit the Lower East Side of NY if you don't live in the area. The Daredevil shop has fantastic art ideas available if you unsure of a design, including the wide array of tempting small Saturday $50 Recession Buster Tattoos offered where all proceeds were generously donated to the NYC Food Bank and an animal shelter in Nevada (if I remember correctly, chosen because of the high rate of home foreclosures). 5.0 star rating 2/2/2013
I had known about daredevil but never got a tattoo here until today .. My work was done by jk5 and I couldn't be happier.. He was super nice during our consultation and really brought my idea together during the tattoo he made me feel comfortable and it came out beautiful ..He's a cool dude and deff recommend him for any lettering styles he's awesome and knows what's he's doing ... My bf has gotten tatted here by bern .. The shop has a lot of artist with different styles which is always A plus they don't just focus on one kind of style. Would get a tattoo here again

Got my first, and currently only, tattoo(a sleeve) at Daredevil about two weeks ago. My second appointment is tomorrow and I can not wait. I've known about Daredevil through friends and a few of the artists come to my work on the regz. However, I was not sure who to see.
After a few months of deliberating on the artists' portfolios, they brought in Orrin Hurley. I fell for his work pretty quickly and made the appointment. Even though he didn't trust my intensions (my tattoo plans are totes lolz), Orrin was a true southern gentlemen through the entire process. On my first visit, while I waited for the design to be fitted to my arm, I flipped through his physical portfolio and read a great article where they talked about his chameleon style... I think this is why he ended up being the perfect artist for me. He designed a sleeve for me better than I could have for myself. During the 4 hours of line work, we had some nice conversations, but he always remained focused on the work at hand.
Orrin is great, but so is everyone else. All the artists and really friendly, unique and clean.

so this is not my first tattoo but i was tired of just walking downtown and picking a place to get my tats done, so i asked a friend he recommended the place and after reading the reviews i agree this place is great, super clean, very professional. and they have guest artists come in from diff places, i had Waldo from south africa and i didnt feel a thing and i was done in 30 min he was super firendly i loved him., the price was good $100 not bad at all. the place could be bigger but im ok with it since i get small tats anyways, the manager was alittle stuck up, hes a guy but hes not the one getting me tat so its watever ..butoverall im comingback here and bringing friends,
I went to Daredevil Tattoo to get a Friday the 13th tattoo. Though the waiting was horrible (I mean c'mon it's $20; it's worth it), the staff was really amazing. They tried to speed up the line and constantly came out to ask if everyone was okay.
It was a fun experience and my tattoo by Amanda came out really awesome.
Maybe not for another Friday the 13th, but I would definitely go back.

I walked in on Saturday evening and talked with Diego about my idea. He was friendly and seemed good so I booked my appointment for Sunday afternoon. He was waiting when I showed up. He drew up the design from the photo I wanted and had the tattoo done in about an hour. The tattoo is on my hand and even though I am a total wimp, IT DEFINTELY DIDN'T HURT! HERE I AM STILL ALIVE A WEEK LATER TOO! Although I am no tattoo expert, I feel as though his work is excellent and that he has a lot of old school tattooing ideas and styles about him, which I really liked. Make sure you look at his portfolio and see his STREETS OF SAN FRANCISCO tattoo. Like I say, he seems like a young tattooist with the soul of an old veteran. Was this review …?

It's been almost a year since I got inked by the renowned Amanda Wachob. What can I say? The work is just amazing. The experience was also amazing as well...very professional, no "tattoo drama", just clear cut good work. No messing around. I booked my appointment almost 6 months ahead, flying in from out of state into NY. I was a little hesitant with it being so far away that she would cancel on me after I had spent money on the travel arrangements. But nothing that dramatic. She had me penciled in and left a message for me at the front door that she was running a tad late. The appointment went well. She was not too chatty and I was too exhausted from my trip to even speak. We finished quicker than I had anticipated and she made sure I was pleased with the results. People in Atlanta notice how delicate the line work is on my back and the tattoo itself stands out from all the others. The shop was small and cramped. I would suggest they try to expand the space a bit and offer some more privacy lounges for customers. But hey, this is New York, spaces like that cost money. I just wondered what it would have been like if I had requested a tattoo in a more ...ahem... private area of my body.When I get more money I will definitely be back. This was one of the most seamless tattoo experiences I've had in a while. In one word. Superb.
